Imposition is the process of arranging a publication's pages on printer sheets so that when the sheets are folded and cut, the pages appear in the correct numerical order.
Q.What is binding creep (shingling)?
In saddle-stitched books, the inner pages are pushed outward by the thickness of the folded sheets. Creep compensation shifts the layout content of inner pages slightly inward toward the gutter to keep margins uniform.
Q.How many pages do I need for a booklet?
For saddle-stitched booklets, the total page count must be a multiple of 4 (each sheet of paper folded in half creates 4 pages). If your page count is not a multiple of 4, the generator pads it with blank pages automatically.
